Description of Program 

Residents have gone on international rotations, pending their interest and previous training, to diverse places such as Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, Swaziland, Israel, Burma, Vietnam, Canada, and others.

Description of field experience: Elective rotation in an international setting.

Description of didactics: Depending on the rotation, residents are often supported by an organization that has an existing international program. For example, a recent trip to Burma was in conjunction with the World Health Organization. Other electives can be developed by the resident with support.

Cost to individual resident: Cost of travel and lodging.
