International elective experiences during residency training is offered to all interested residents
Location(s) of program: Residents and faculty have enjoyed experiences in Europe, Asia, Central America, South America and Africa in the past ten years.
Description of field experience: Individually crafted electives according to the interests of each resident.
Description of didactics: Bimonthly series based on global health in medical education core conference series.
Cost to individual resident: Depends on the sponsoring organization.
Number of residents who have participated in the last two years: 3
Description of faculty involvement: The program director coordinates international electives for residents who are interested. She has medical experience in India, Mexico, Malawi and Armenia.
