Description of Program 

Penn offers numerous opportunities for global health experience. Nearly all are open to trainees at the student or resident level. Students or residents outside Penn hoping to perform an elective with a Penn program should contact the residency coordinator or global health office directly. Cost to individual resident: Varies by program and location. Residents must typically cover travel costs. Stipend support is available for selected rotations.

Description of faculty involvement: Penn faculty from all schools are directly involved. Family medicine faculty are involved in programs in Botswana, Malawi, and Guatemala.
