Healthy Nutrition in Health Care Facilities and Other Workplaces
That the American Academy of Family Physicians believes that sound nutrition is a cornerstone of health and should be reflected in all dietary offerings in health care facilities. Family medicine training programs should, therefore, promote and support institutional policies to provide well-balanced food options for trainees during work hours.
Further, the American Academy of Family Physicians believes that high-quality nutrition should extend to all workplaces that offer food to their employees and to the public at onsite cafeterias and vending machines.
