Disclaimer
The assembly lectures are best viewed with RealOne Player which is available for Windows 98 / ME / 2000 /NT Service Pack 4 or later / XP and Mac OS X.
RealPlayer 8 is still available for Windows 95 and Mac OS 9 users.
Your display screen area should be set to at least 800 x 600, but 1024
x 768 or higher is best for viewing all available features.
To check/change your display settings on a PC: 1) right-click on your desktop;
2) select Properties; 3) click the Settings tab; 4) adjust Screen area by
moving the slider left or right.
Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view/download the lecture slides.

Playing Video and Navigation in RealOne Player
To view a lecture, click on
Lecture Video/Slide Presentation (RealOne player only!)
This will launch RealOne player in a pop-up window. You will see 4 main areas
on the screen:
Video
Window - Video of speaker at podium.
Navigation
- Click these buttons to view different parts of the presentation (List of
all lecture titles, the current lecture home page, speaker information, interactive
slideshow, online quiz, help.) Most of these buttons
will affect what you see in the attached Related Info Panel
.
NOTE: The Online Quiz will appear in a browser window below the player in the Attached Media Browser Window.
Presentation
Slides - This window displays the actual slides used during the lecture.
Related Info Panel - This window will show web pages associated with
the lecture you are watching. You may also switch to any of the other lecture
presentations by clicking on the "2002 Lecture Index" button in
the Navigation section.
Attached Media Browser Window - This window will appear after clicking
on the Online Quiz button. The window may be hard to see on a smaller
screen, you can MOVE the window by clicking on the detach media browser
button
on the upper-right corner of the window, then click on the top section of
the browser and drag it to a new position on your screen. You can also adjust
the relative size of the Attached Media Browser on the Video Playback Window
by click-dragging the resize handle
at the top of the browser window.

Playing Video and Navigation in RealPlayer 8 and older versions
To view a lecture, click on
Lecture Video/Slide Presentation (Mac OS 9 and older RealPlayer versions)
This will launch RealPlayer in a pop-up window. You will see 4 main areas
on the screen:
Video Window - Video of speaker at podium.
Navigation
- Click these buttons to view different parts of the presentation (List of
all lecture titles, the current lecture home page, speaker information, interactive
slideshow, online quiz, help.) The links will launch
a new browser window, click the "Close This Window" button to return
to the lecture video.
Presentation
Slides - This window displays the actual slides used during the lecture.

Lecture Slides (Adobe PDF Files)
The lecture slides are in Adobe PDF format and require Adobe Acrobat Reader software for viewing. Most users will have this software on their machine, you can read more about Acrobat Reader and download a free copy of Acrobat Reader if you do not already have it installed.
The slides for each lecture are available for viewing or downloading. Each lecture has a color version and a smaller black and white version. The color version has 2, full color slides on each page of the PDF file. The black and white version has 6 slides on each page and is good for printing and following along with the lecture video.

Viewing/Saving Slides - Click on

OR
Download Lecture Slides - Black and white, 6 slides
per page to launch Acrobat Reader. These files are quite large and
may take up to a minute to load or longer for users on a dialup connection.
Once the PDF file opens, use the tools in Acrobat Reader to Save, Print, Search and Navigate the PDF file:

Interactive Slideshow
The interactie slideshow allows you to scroll through the slide presentation at your own speed. RealOne player users will see this feature appear in the Related Info Panel on the right side of the media player. Other users will see this feature pop-up in a new browser window. The basic controls of the interactive slideshow are listed below:

Last Slide - Goes to the previous slide in the slideshow. If you are on the first slide, this will take you to the last slide in the slideshow.
Auto Run/Stop - Starts and stops the autorun feature. Slides will change automatically every 5 seconds. You may have to click this link twice when first starting the slideshow.
Next Slide - Goes to the next slide in the slideshow. If you are on the last slide, this will display a slide stating, "This is the last slide in the presentation."

Online Quiz
Each lecture has a quiz which you may take and earn CME credit. Each quiz has several multiple choice questions. Select the best answer for each question by clicking in the checkbox next to your answer. Next, click on the "Check Your Answers" button at the bottom of the page. Your responses and the correct answers will appear on the screen. To report for CME credit, click on the "Submit for Credit" button at the bottom of the page and fill out the Evaluation/CME Accreditation form, enter your contact information (for non-members only), then complete your Payment Information to charge the fees to your credit card over our secure server. Your payment and CME credit will be recorded immediately.
NOTE: RealOne player users will see the Online Quiz appear in the Attached Media Browser Window.

CME Credit and Fee Information
CME Credit
This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 10.5 prescribed
credit hours (1.5 per segment) by the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Term of approval is for one-year from beginning distribution date of January
15, 2003 for "West Nile Virus," "Detection and Prevention of
Cervical Cancer" and "What's New From the U.S.P.S.T.F." All
other segments for one-year from March 1, 2003 with option for yearly renewal.
The American Academy of Family Physicians is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The American Academy of Family Physicians designates this educational activity for a maximum of 10.5 hours in category 1 credit toward the American Medical Association Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
To receive CME credit for the online lectures, complete the post-test and choose to submit for CME credit. Physicians may not claim CME credit for those lectures for which they attended and have previously claimed credit for at the 2002 AAFP annual Scientific Assembly in San Diego.
Fees
CME credit is free for AAFP members; nonmembers will be charged a $15 fee.
