The major emphases are the development of ambulatory care skills, treatment of medical/psychosocoal problems common in the community, and preventative health. In outpatient office settings in the greater Pittsburgh area, students will see patients as part of the office team and be responsible for initial assessments and development of therapeutic plan under preceptor supervision. Opportunities are available to use/interpret outpatient procedures. Various seminars required.
