Gain critical, pre-hospital obstetric skills when you earn the BLSO Provider status. Course dates and locations vary.
The Basic Life Support in Obstetrics (BLSO®) program prepares pre-hospital care providers, emergency department personnel, as well as medical, nursing and physician assistant students to manage normal labor and obstetrical emergencies.
A core attribute of the BLSO course is its evidence-based, shared mental model, which uses mnemonics to aid first responders to remember and perform standardized actions such as pre-hospital resuscitation, communication in transit and transition to hospital care as part of a shared conceptual framework.
