Dr. Grimes is a family physician practicing in Austin, TX, where she worked in private practice with a primarily well-educated, suburban patient population for nearly two decades. Now, Dr. Grimes works part-time in the University of Texas student health center’s urgent care department, as well as in the public health clinics. She is a frequent guest speaker, educating teens and others about sexually transmitted diseases. Her book, Seductive Delusions: How Everyday People Catch STDs, won the USA Best Book Award and is in its fourth year of use in Texas high schools. She also speaks frequently on nutrition and preventive medicine of all genres, and gives practical advice about the challenges associated with dementia.
