Dr. Ross-Russell is a physician with ProHealth Wallingford Family Practice in Wallingford, CT, and serves as a hospice medical director and director of an inpatient palliative unit. He has been teaching for 21 years, initially as a residency preceptor, and for the last 16 years as volunteer faculty at UCHC and Student Community Practice preceptor. Dr. Ross-Russell specializes in hospice and palliative medicine (CAQ certified), medical computing, and informatics. His focus is the extension of palliative care beyond hospice and the immediate end of life, beyond inpatient palliative programs, to the primary care setting. He received the MidState Medical Center’s Matt Campione Community Service Award for 2011. Dr. Ross-Russell is an AAFP Fellow and a member of the Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (U.S.).
