Dr. Shi has more than 10 years of experience in academic medicine and is dual-trained in family medicine and health services research. She enjoys teaching/mentoring residents and medical students to be leaders of the medical home; serves as research coordinator/mentor for family medicine residents’ scholarly projects; teaches MS-4 USU and Health Professions Scholarship Program students; and regularly precepts residents in outpatient clinic, inpatient service, and procedure clinic. She is a former recipient of a K23 Career Development Award from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). Dr. Shi will lecture on nail disorders.
