Dr. Temte maintains a full-spectrum primary care practice in Madison, WI, at Wingra Family Medical Center, a residency training clinic and federally qualified health center. He has taught for 20 years and specializes in immunizations, vaccine policy, and infectious disease in the University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine. Dr. Temte was named chair of the U.S. Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices by Secretary Kathleen Sebelius for a three-year term starting in July 2012 and is the first family physician to serve in this role. He also serves as chair of the Wisconsin Council on Immunization Practices.
