Dr. Ziemkowski practices family medicine in southwest Michigan, where he is on the faculty of the Western Michigan University School of Medicine Family Medicine Residency program and serves as Associate Dean for Student Affairs. He has been teaching for 15 years and maintains a blog for residents at kzoofm.blogspot.com. Dr. Ziemkowski is most interested in the care of metabolic conditions associated with cardiovascular risk, such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus, and obesity. "I believe that primary prevention of these diseases and their complications will deliver the greatest benefit to the greatest number of patients," he says.
