Stephen P. Bogdewic, PhD

Bogdewic is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in adult education and organizational development. He completed a primary health care policy fellowship with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. A practicing cognitive behavioral therapist in Indianapolis, he has been teaching for more than 35 years and has taught at AAFP Family Medicine Experience (formerly AAFP Assembly) for the past 17 years. His specialty topics include behavioral medicine, professional development, leadership development, and family therapy. Bogdewic received the Carole J. Bland Phronesis Award in 2012, presented by the Association of American Medical Colleges’ Group on Faculty Affairs and Group on Diversity and Inclusion. This award serves to honor members of the faculty affairs community who exemplify the spirit of phronesis (acting for the welfare of others without thought for self) through dedicated and selfless promotion of faculty vitality.
