Dr. Kintanar maintains a very active private practice, as well as teaching medical students, family medicine residents, and mid-level provider students. He is Medical Director for Glenbrook Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Sage Bluff Health and Rehabilitation Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana. In addition, he is Medical Director of Wood Youth Center, Youth Services Center, Heartland Hospice, and Lutheran Life Villages. Dr. Kintanar has served on the board of directors for the AAFP and TransforMED. In addition, he is a former president and board chair of the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians; a former president of the American Association of Primary Care Endoscopy; and a former president of the Philippine American Association of Family Physicians. Dr. Kintanar’s endoscopic practice includes esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, laparoscopy, and advanced procedures, such as endoscopic mucosal resection and radiofrequency ablation of Barrett esophagus. He has had the privilege of teaching nationally at the AAFP’s annual meeting for more than 12 years.
