Eddie Needham, MD, FAAFP

Dr. Needham is a graduate of Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He practices full-service family medicine to a diverse patient base, providing care for all stages of life. Dr. Needham performs many inpatient and outpatient procedures, including skin procedures, vasectomies, nasopharyngolaryngoscopies (NPLs), treadmill stress tests, joint injections, and colposcopies. He has taught medicine for 20 years. In 2013, he received the Florida Academy of Family Physicians’ Full-Time Educator Award. He previously received the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians’ Educator of the Year Award in 2007 and the American Academy of Family Physicians’ Parke-Davis Teacher Award in 1996. Dr. Needham believes that for the specialty of family medicine, prevention must be valued and funded to the same level, or greater, than tertiary hospital-based procedures.
