The AAFP requires the use of the National Conference presentation template when developing your slides. (Please note: if you are using a PC, please download the PowerPoint template. If you are using a Mac, please download the Keynote template.)

Speaker Deadlines

Due April 1, 2014

  • Speaker Agreement: This document was emailed to all speakers. If you didn't receive the document, email Ashley Jungles at
  • Workshop Presenter Form(101 KB DOC): Please list the name, academic/professional title and institution/program/organization of each presenter as you would like it to appear in the official program.

Due May 23, 2014

  • Handouts: Send documents to Ashley Jungles at
    • Handouts will be placed online and within the mobile app for two weeks before and after the conference.
    • Handouts can be a copy of the slide presentation or a separate document (or both). 
    • Attendees view slides/handouts to reinforce the workshop learning experience and to gain exposure to sessions that they were unable to attend.
    • In 2013, National Conference handouts were downloaded more than 2,000 times from the mobile app and website.
  • Consent - IP Form(2 page DOC): If your presentation and/or handout includes any copyrighted materials, you must indicate you have permission to display these materials. View Copyright and Permissions FAQ(2 page PDF).

Due July 9, 2014

  • Housing reservations: Hotel and travel arrangements are your responsibility. Early reservations for the hotels are recommended.
  • Registration: As a speaker for National Conference, your registration is complimentary. On the registration payment page, enter the speaker code that was sent in email with Speaker Agreement. Speakers must register.

Workshop Presenters

  • Please be in your assigned room at least ten minutes before your session begins.
  • Laptops are not provided for speakers. 
    • If you use a Mac, a Mac adaptor (provided by you) is required to connect to the LCD projector.
  • The following audio / visual equipment is provided in each room:
    • Microphone
    • LCD projector and screen
    • Speaker podium
  • Workshop sessions are often located in adjacent rooms. Please keep the volume of your session to a respectful level.
  • Your workshop session should not exceed its assigned length. Please manage the timing of your presentation and audience questions accordingly.
