One-year univ-based fellowship in FP sports medicine. Clinical experience - 40% sports orthopedics and 60% primary care sports med. Fellows work with orthopedic specialists in the hand & wrist, elbow & shoulder, knee & hip, foot & ankle, as well as primary care sports medicine physicians on sports medicine, pediatrics and adolescent medicine, fracture management, occupational medicine, exercise treadmill testing, and wellness counseling. Fellows provide medical care for local high school teams and assist fellowship faculty in providing university care. Fellows help provide medical coverage for the San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo, and the Texas Invitational Relays (Univ. of Texas at Austin). http://familymed.uthscsa.edu Click on education then Fellowships.
