This fellowship prepares physicians to be leaders in academic family medicine. Skill development emphasizes key areas: research (e.g., community-based, epidemiology), education and evaluation, administration, professional development, and informatics. Masters courses may be taken in epidemiology, bioethics, or medical informatics. Strong departmental mentors guide academic project completion. Self-directed learning activities are encouraged.
