The Faculty Development Fellowship Program prepares family physician health care professionals for full-time teaching careers in family medicine. Each fellow participates in 5 intensive teaching weeks, throughout the year, focusing on resident teaching, faculty mentorships, and individual projects. Based on self-directed learning, the fellowship curriculum is shaped to meet the needs of each current group of fellows. Fellows spend the year in one of our University of Washington Network Residency Programs. Individual programs select fellows for participation. Occasionally we are able to accept a fellow in a faculty role outside the network.
