Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in family medicine, emergency medicine, internal medicine, or pediatrics, and board eligible or certified in primary specialty.Application Deadline: 10/15/07

This ACGME-accredited fellowship is ideal for the primary care physician who wants to improve knowledge and skills in the medical, orthopedic, and research aspects of sports medicine. Throughout the year, fellows function as team physicians for all University of South Carolina sports. In addition, they treat all levels of athletes from recreational to professional in primary care and orthopaedic clinics. Training includes injury prevention, pre-participation evaluation, management of acute/chronic illness or injury, and rehabilitation.
