The Halifax Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program Sports Medicine Fellowship began July 1, 1997. Clinical time is divided between a traditional family practice and sports medicine. Team affiliations include Division I, IAA, and II sports at Bethune Cookman College, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and Daytona Beach Community College. Pro coverage is provided for NASCAR at the Daytona Beach International Speedway, and the Daytona Beach Thunder. Sports medicine fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons participate as adjunct faculty.
