The Sports Medicine Fellowship at Kaiser Fontana is 1 year of special emphasis on primary care sports medicine for graduates of accredited family practice programs. There is a strong emphasis on clinical applications of sports medicine. Approximately one third of the time is spent in team sports learning sideline management, one third is spent managing a sports medicine referral clinic, and one third is spent in family practice, elective time, research, and writing.
