Stipend ranges from $36,996 - $51,036. The NRSA Fellowship prepares family physicians for productive careers in health services research, academic medicine, and public policy. Fellows pursue projects of their own design in collaboration with prominent members of various local institutions including UCLA, RAND, Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, and the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. Fellows wishing to obtain graduate degrees from UCLA may engage in formal coursework in a broad variety of subjects including research methodology, policy analysis, community health sciences, and healthcare administration. Length of fellowship ranges from 24 - 36 months.
