Comments:
The geriatric fellowship program seeks to train family medicine and/or internal medicine physicians in all facets of clinical geriatrics over a period of twelve (12) months. Both medical and non-medical aspects of elder care will be emphasized, including institutional, non-institutional, regulatory, economic, psycho-social, pharmacological, rehabilitation, palliative, and other associated areas. Learning will be patient-based in a variety of settings, stressing the multi-disciplinary team approach to the comprehensive care of the frail, elderly population, as well as didactic, scholarly, and instructional activities.
