The University of Tennessee Department of Family Medicine in Knoxville invites graduates of a family medicine residency to apply to spend a year developing acute emergency care skills. The fellow will spend 9 months in the level one trauma center at UT Medical Center, Knoxville TN, One month of pediatric emergency training will take place at East Tennessee Children's Hospital located near UTMC. Fellows experience ground or helicopter pre-hospital care. A strong didactic program is held weekly and includes procedural training in the simulation lab. Completion of a scholarly research project is expected.
