This research fellowship is a collaboration between University of Maryland Family Medicine and Johns Hopkins Division of General Pediatrics. The goal of the fellowship is to prepare family physicians and pediatricians for research careers in primary care with a focus on underserved urban populations. Learning activities include: 1) research mentoring by core faculty, 2) fellowship seminar series, 3) formal course work leading to an MPH from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, 4) an independent research project guided by an experienced mentor, 5) department of family medicine clinical and teaching activities. 6) intergrated community-based linkages with fellowship learning activities, 7) Grant writing class. Potential additional supplement for clinical activities $46,000-50,000.
