The Duke Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship is a one-year ACGME accredited program open to physicians who have completed residency training in the fields of Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, and Emergency Medicine. The purpose of the program is to enable primary care physicians to develop expertise in the area of sports medicine. They will also acquire essential teaching and administrative skills. This is accomplished through the teaching and joint cooperation of a number of outstanding departments at Duke University Medical Center, including Community and Family Medicine. Orthopaedic Surgery, and Pedicatrics, as well as the Athletic Department at Duke University. There are a variety of exceptional experiences offered in the Duke Sports Medicine Fellowship, including high school, collegiate and professional team coverage. Each level offers a unique educational opportunity and perspective into the multiple jacets of sports medicine.
