The UAB Palliative Medicine Fellowship Training Program has one or two-year fellowship positon in Palliative Medicine for board certified or board eligible physicians beginning July 1, 2008. This is a nationally recognized program with a 100% sucess rate in board certification of graduates. Clinical practice settings include two inpatient palliative care units, an in-hospital palliative care consulation service, an ambulatory palliative and supportive care clinic, an ambulatory HIV/AIDS palliative care clinic, and two home hospice programs. Established faculty with broad range of relevant training, experience and research interests. Specific supervised training in clinical palliative medicine, palliative care research, and teaching/medical education is incorporated into the fellowship. Length of fellowship can range from 12 to 24 months. Application & notification deadline is ongoing.
