Prerequisites for Acceptance:
Completion of Family Medicine Residency, 6 months of OB rotations, candidate must have registered for or taken the initial ABFM Certifying Exam and must obtain Alabama medical licensure and hospital privileges. Strong interest in teaching.

Comments:
1-year jr faculty position supervising a team of 8-10 residents and medical students. There are more than 30 OB physicians who participate in teaching operative and high-risk obstetrics including c-sections, tubal ligations, hysterectomies, D&C, ultrasound and management of dysfunctional labor. The women's and children's hospital has over 5,000 deliveries annually and is supported by level 3 NICU.
