Our sports medicine fellow works closely with the sports medicine faculty of the Department of Family Medicine as well as the orthopedic sports medicine physicians from OrthoCarolina, Charlotte's largest orthopedic group. The orthopedic clinics, the Family Practice Center Sports Medicine Clinics, as well as the training rooms of both Division I and II universities provide ample training for the fellow. The fellow is responsible for providing team coverage for the athletes of these universities, a local high school, and has the opportunity to cover a wide variety of other sporting events. The fellow also works with physical therapists, radiologists, and other orthopedic specialists to enhance the fellowship experience.
