Revised AAFP book outlines residents' elective choices
Residents looking for a variety of educational experiences should check out the Academy's revised Extramural Resident Electives. The book was recently mailed to all family practice residency program directors.
This publication is designed to help residents find additional elective educational experiences across the country. The book is divided into sections such as academic family medicine, chemical dependency and substance abuse, geriatrics, pediatrics, rural health, and urban and inner-city health. Residents also can find contact names, telephone numbers, and the duration of the elective.
