Congress elects AMA delegates and alternates, chooses ABFP finalists

The AAFP Congress held a first-time election of three delegates and alternates to the AMA House of Delegates Sept. 18.

The delegates are Douglas Henley, MD, of Fayetteville, NC; Robert Higgins, MD, of Anacortes, WA; and Edward Langston, MD, of Moline, IL. The alternate delegates are Deborah Allen, MD, of Indianapolis; Larry Anderson, MD, of Wellington, KS; and Dale Moquist, MD, of Grand Forks, ND.

The AAFP Board will soon select two delegates and two alternates to complete AAFP's delegation of five delegates and five alternates.

The AAFP Congress of Delegates also chose three finalists who will compete for the Academy position on the board of directors of the American Board of Family Practice.

The ABFP board will choose one person next April from among these three: C. Earl Hill, MD, of Pasadena, MD; Palmira Snape, MD, of Greenville, SC; and L. Thomas Wolff, MD, of Syracuse, NY.
