AAFP opposes recommendation of AMA council on ethics
By unanimous vote Sept. 17, the AAFP Congress of Delegates supported asking the AMA Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs to re-examine a recommendation in a CEJA report. The recommendation would allow publication and citation of data from egregious, inhumane experimentation, such as data from Nazi experiments and from the Tuskegee (Ala.) study on prisoners.
The AAFP Congress also put the Academy on record opposing the publication and citation of data collected from cruel, egregious and inhumane experiments.
