Residency Completion and Teaching Certificates

The American Academy of Family Physicians offers residency completion and family medicine teaching certificates for use by residency programs.

Residency Completion Certificates

The residency completion certificates may be awarded by a residency program to residents who have completed or will complete family medicine residency training.

Details:

  • Residency certificates display the calendar year in which residency was completed.
  • Certificates are $7.95 each.
  • Expedited shipment of certificates is available. Charges will be applied to the invoice.

Teaching Certificates

Teaching certificates serve as an expression of appreciation to those individuals who have volunteered time and effort teaching in a family medicine setting. At least 75 hours teaching in any area of medicine on a voluntary basis and in a setting of family medicine education during an academic year is required to qualify for a teaching certificate. Program directors, medical school deans, faculty advisors and department chairs, or AAFP chapters may award these certificates.
