Delegates to the 2011 meeting of the AMA House of Delegates, June 18-22 here, elected several AAFP members to fill key positions.
Albert Osbahr III, M.D., of Hickory, N.C., was elected to a four-year term on the AMA Board of Trustees(www.ama-assn.org). Osbahr joins two other Academy members currently serving on the AMA board: David Barbe, M.D., of Mountain Grove, Mo., who was named secretary at this meeting, and Stephen Permut, M.D., J.D., of Philadelphia.
Colette Willins, M.D., of Westlake, Ohio, was elected to the Council on Constitution and Bylaws. Willins was nominated by the AAFP.
Gerald Harmon, M.D., of Georgetown, S.C., was re-elected to the Council on Medical Service.
Robyn Chatman, M.D., of Cincinnati, was elected to the Council on Health of the Public and Science. She will fill out the remainder of the term vacated by Osbahr.
