Family physicians who still harbor doubts that operating a patient-centered medical home (PCMH) practice can be profitable should consider registering for an upcoming webinar available through TransforMED's Delta-Exchange network.
The webinar, which is scheduled to air on Aug. 1 at 1 p.m. CDT, will feature Chuck Moses, M.B.A., M.S.H.A., a practice enhancement facilitator for TransforMED. The topic of the webinar is "PCMH and Profitability: Not an Oxymoron." It will include a refresher course on sound financial management principles applicable to medical practices.
Moses brings more than 18 years of health care management -- applied both in hospitals and medical practices -- to the table. He served as director of education and distance learning for the Colorado-based Medical Group Management Association before joining TransforMED late in 2009.
Moses will school listeners on how to use the PCMH model to create financial opportunity, and he'll use examples from medical practices that have done just that.
There will be time for questions, and the webinar will be archived in Delta-Exchange's online seminar zone for physicians unable to participate live.
AAFP members who have not yet registered for Delta-Exchange are welcome to join the more than 1,000 registered users of this free AAFP resource.
