Robert Watchinski, C.P.A., joined the AAFP in 1993 and is responsible for the financial operations of the AAFP, including financial reporting, budgets, investments and cash management.
Watchinski oversees the Administration Division, the Information Technology Division and the Finance and Accounting Division in addition to serving as the AAFP's chief financial officer. He also acts as a financial consultant to the AAFP Board of Directors and the Academy's executive vice president, deputy executive vice president, and other division vice presidents; and will serve as staff executive to the Commission on Finance and Insurance.
Before coming to the AAFP, Watchinski served as associate executive director of finance for Humana Prime Health. Previously, he was senior vice president of finance for Prime Health Management Services Inc., and coordinated the conversion of that not-for-profit corporation and negotiated the sale of the company to Humana Inc.
Watchinski holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Missouri, Columbia, where he graduated cum laude.
