AAFP Foundation -- The philanthropic arm of the Academy, the Foundation's primary goal is to enhance health care delivered to the American people by developing and providing philanthropic resources for the promotion and support of family practice. These efforts are made possible through the generosity of family physicians, corporations and others who provide voluntary financial support for the Foundation.

AAFP Insurance Services -- Life and disability insurance is available through AAFP Insurance Services, Inc. AAFP Insurance Services is a subsidiary of the AAFP Foundation and proceeds support the work of the Foundation.

Center for the History of Family Medicine -- Established in 1992, the center is the only institution dedicated to preserving the history of family medicine. The center preserves and maintains a historical record of family and general medicine, both through the records of the organizations in the specialty and by collecting materials created by individuals who practiced or taught family medicine.

Center for Health Information Technology -- The Center for Health Information Technology (CHiT) is intended to provide you with the informational resources, interactive tools, and a network of hundreds of colleagues in the United States and around the world who have successfully implemented EHRs. CHiT is the focal point of the AAFP's technical expertise, advocacy, research, and member services associated with medical office automation and computerization.

familydoctor.org -- The AAFP's patient education site. Includes hundreds of handouts, brochures, flowcharts and other resources for patients.

Family Health Advocate -- The AAFP's consumer advocacy site. Helping patients and physicians work together to send the message that the health care system needs to change and it needs to change now.

Robert Graham Center: Policy Studies in Family Practice and Primary Care -- Supports the center's efforts in providing a family medicine and primary care perspective to health policy deliberations in Washington, D.C. Includes information about the center, internship program, and library documents.

Tar Wars -- An award-winning national children’s tobacco education program. Tar Wars is an effective, innovative, and fun program that teaches fifth graders about the short-term, image-based consequences of tobacco use and how to think critically about tobacco advertising.

Virtual Family Medicine Interest Group -- Virtual FMIG is the Academy's site for students, preceptors, and others interested in family medicine as a career choice. The site offers information on the specialty of family medicine as well as helpful tips and resources to enhance students' education. Family medicine residencies, clinical resources, the match, and professionalism are examples of common topics addressed on the site.
