The AAFP Center for International Health Initiatives invites attendees to share their international experiences in developing and promoting family medicine worldwide at the 2012 AAFP Family Medicine Global Health Workshop, to be held September 6-8, 2012 at the Minneapolis Marriott City Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The deadline for peer presentation abstract and poster abstract submissions is Tuesday, May 15, 2012.
Particular interest will be given to submissions for the following:
Call for Abstracts
- Lessons learned from global health
- Ways to improve and strengthen health care systems through the development of family medicine
- International family medicine consultations on health care delivery and human resources for health issues in low- and middle-income countries
- Impact of international rotations and experiences on students’ and residents’ development as medical doctors
- Global clinical issues in resource-poor countries
- Sustainability implications for short-term international projects or partnerships
- Global impact of family medicine development
We greatly encourage abstract submissions by students and residents. We also invite participation by health professionals beyond the specialty of family medicine.
