Instructions for Poster Presentation Abstract Submission

The poster session provides an ideal opportunity for sharing your ideas on a one-to-one basis with colleagues at the 2013 Family Medicine Global Health Workshop. Be sure to display a poster that will clearly show your work in a format that allows participants to easily grasp the main elements of your program or study while browsing through the display area. As colleagues may want to apply your work in their own setting, your poster should address the evaluation of your program or research. If you consider it necessary, be sure to bring handouts and business cards to enhance your networking opportunities.

Download the abstract application (2-page Word file; About Downloading) and submit your completed application by e-mail to Rebecca Janssen by June 15, 2013. For specific information about poster presentations, please view the detailed and poster guidelines (2-page PDF file; About PDFs).

Basic poster presentation guidelines:
  • All presenters must be available to present during the specified date of the conference.
  • Acknowledgment of receipt of submissions will be sent by e-mail automatically to the lead presenter after you complete your submission. Letters of acceptance will be sent by e-mail to the lead presenter after the peer review process is completed.
  • All presenters must pay the registration fee. No honoraria or travel expense reimbursement will be provided.
  • Presenters may not use any conference presentation to market products or services; exhibit space and literature displays are available for that purpose.
