At the request of the U.S. Department of State, Physicians With Heart returns to the former Soviet Republic of Tajikistan for its annual humanitarian project. The volunteer delegation accompanying the multimillion-dollar shipment of pharmaceuticals, medical instruments and supplies will document their safe arrival, visit recipient hospitals, participate in medical education symposia on family medicine, and lead a children’s project.
