World Health Organization (WHO) -- The objective of the World Health Organization is the attainment by all peoples of the highest possible level of health; the state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease of infirmity.

World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA) -- WONCA is comprised of national colleges and academies or organizations concerned with the academic aspects of general family medicine. The organization's objective is to improve the quality of life of the peoples of the world through fostering and maintaining high standards of care in general/family medicine.
