Resident Research Grants and Paper Presentation Forum (Administered by the AAFP Foundation)

Learn more about the Resident Research Grants and Paper Presentation Forum.

Up to $2,000 in funding is available per project for a maximum of 10 projects. Reports on the research projects will be submitted and judged to select up to five winning papers. Winning resident investigators will receive $1,000 scholarships to attend the 2009 National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students to give 10-minute presentations on their research projects.

The AAFP Foundation's Resident Research Grant proposals are accepted following the Research Skills Training Workshop held in conjunction with the National Conference. Although attendance at the one-day workshop is not a prerequisite for submission, this forum does offer an opportunity for residents to develop skills in basic research design and to recognize the importance of appropriate methods and statistical consultation.
