Tomorrow's Leader Award

Up to eight family medicine residents and up to eight medical students will receive a $600 scholarship to attend the National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students.

Requirements: Complete an application, submit a current CV, prepare a 500-word essay on the importance of family physicians assuming leadership roles, and provide letters of recommendation from the constituent chapter and medical school dean, residency program director or faculty advisor. This award recognizes individuals who demonstrate leadership potential and ability. Recipients must be first-time attendees who are not receiving other funding to attend the conference.

Deadline for submission: Submission must be postmarked by May 1, 2009.
