This program reviews potential risk factors for adolescent drug abuse, including family, personal and environmental factors, and it provides information on how to assess your adolescent patients’ drug use. It discusses risk factors for and symptoms of adolescent depression, as well as intervention strategies for dealing with adolescent patients during depressive episodes. Also included is a review of antidepressant drug classes and the considerations that should guide selection of an appropriate agent.
