AAFP Immunization Surveys Data

The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), with over 100,300 members, is the largest single specialty physician organization. Under a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the AAFP collected survey data annually from 2004-2008 to gather information regarding immunization practices of family physicians throughout the United States. Specifically, the AAFP wanted more information regarding:
  • Who their members were serving
  • Immunizations provided
  • Barriers to immunizing patients
  • Concerns related to vaccines
The data was used to evaluate the project objectives under the CDC Cooperative Agreement.
