The Electronic National Quality Improvement and Research Network (eNQUIRENet)

Below is a list studies conducted by members of the AAFP NRN that are part of the electronic data sub-network, eNQUIRENet.
ABFM Maintenance of Certification (MOC): Does Completion of Professional Development Programs Affect Quality of Patient Care? -- This pilot study investigates the effect of two professional development programs on the quality of care delivered by physicians to patients with diabetes mellitus.
Antiobiotics Prescribing -- This study tests an effective strategy for reducing the inappropriate use of antibiotics in primary care office practices.
CA-MRSA -- We are conducting electronic chart audits to increase our understanding of CA-MRSA diagnosis, treatments, and documentation.
CME Effectiveness -- We have partnered with AAFP Continuing Medical Education to assess whether CME courses change clinician behavior.
Colorectal Cancer Screening -- This qualitative study will evaluate an intervention used to increase the rates of Colorectal Cancer screening.
CoNNECT -- CoNNECT is a new research infrastructure which merges the Collaborative Care Research Network (CCRN) with the Distributed Ambulatory Research and Therapeutics Network (DARTNet).
CVD Learning Community -- In this two-year observational study, we created a Cardiovascular Risk and Reduction Learning Community to see if this reduces cardiovascular events and health care costs in patients.
DARTNet CKD Natural History Study -- An electronic chart audit through DARTNet to examine the natural history of chronic kidney disease (CKD).
DEcIDE Depression Task Order -- This project used national claims data to generate knowledge of antidepressant treatment of adult and pediatric depression episodes.
Patient Centered Medical Home Evaluation -- Through qualitative interviews we will assess the impact of the WellMed PCMH on patient care and health outcomes over the last 10 years (1997-2006).
Peers for Progress -- This project investigates the impacts of peer mentoring on diabetes management.
