Asthma

AZMATICS -- A pilot randomized “practical clinical” that tested the hypothesis that anti-chlamydial antibiotic treatment would significantly improve asthma control.
Spirometry -- This project assessed the accuracy of spirometry testing completed in the family physicians’ office using new simplified equipment.
BELT Asthma Study -- This large-scale multi-center project titled Blacks and Exacerbations on LABA v. Triotropium (BELT), a subcontract with Harvard University, is designed to compare the effectiveness of long-acting beta agonists (LABA)/inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) versus triotropium/ICS in African-American patients with moderate to severe asthma.
Asthma IQ -- Examining the use of the ASTHMA IQ primary care tool to improve asthma care and asthma outcomes.
Asthma Tools -- This is a randomized controlled trial (RCT) to test the effectiveness of the Asthma APGAR system in rural family medicine practices.
