ABFM Maintenance of Certification (MOC): Does Completion of Professional Development Programs Affect Quality of Patient Care? -- This pilot study investigates the effect of two professional development programs on the quality of care delivered by physicians to patients with diabetes mellitus.
AIM-HI -- This project evaluated a practice improvement program to improve family physicians’ delivery of effective patient-centered behavior change interventions for “fitness” (physical activity, healthy eating and emotional well-being).
CME Effectiveness -- We have partnered with AAFP Continuing Medical Education to assess whether CME courses change clinician behavior.
Dementia Screening -- In this random-controlled trial we tested two screening tools to determine realistic ways to diagnose Early Cognitive Impairment (ECI).
METRIC -- This is an evaluation of the AAFP METRIC (Measuring, Evaluating and Translating Research into Care) and AAFP Practice Enhancement Forum (PEF) quality improvement programs that focus on the chronic care model.
Peers for Progress -- This project investigates the impacts of peer mentoring on diabetes management.
Postpartum Depression -- This is a randomized controlled trial (RCT) to test the impact of translation of a universal screening and follow up program for Postpartum Depression (PPD) versus usual care in family physician’s offices.
