The development of a fitness program was approved by the Board of Directors in March 2003. It supports the Academy’s Strategic Objective #4 “assume a leadership role in improving health promotion, disease prevention and chronic disease management” and specifically addresses objective 4.1.3 “helping promote healthy lifestyles.”
